Ramsay’s Neurological Services Scoops National Award for Innovation in Patient Safety

The Gardens & Jacobs Neurological Rehabilitation Centre are delighted to have won the category of ‘Clinical Improvement’ in the Leading Healthcare Awards 2020, for their innovative patent safety score card, Ramsay Neurological Services Early Warning Score (NSEWS).

The Neurological team introduced a new early warning score system in order to improve its response to the highly complex needs of its residents, who commonly suffer from spinal cord and brain injuries and neurological disabilities owing to functional disturbances of the autonomic nervous system.

Other nominees in the category included Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospital, The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Andy Haysman, Director of Gardens and Jacobs Centres said, “I am thrilled that the Ramsay Neurological Services Early Warning Score has been recognised in these awards. This award is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole neurological team”.
